Obtaining a Philosophy Degree on the Internet

In the twenty first century, we use the internet for many more uses than it was used for in the twentieth century. I guess that statement is not entirely true. The internet was used for many different things in the twentieth century. It is probably more correct to say that now, it is used by a much larger population. I do not know when the first online university started, but I remember first seeing advertisements for them while I was attending college. I first started going to a university in two thousand and two, so at this point that was about ten years ago. I would guess that online universities were started about the turn of the millennium. One popular choice are online philosophy degrees. Online philosophy degrees can be earned at a variety of universities, and if you do a little research into the degree and what the requirements are, it does in fact make sense. When I first heard about online philosophy degrees I was skeptical on how they could possibly set up that kind of degree online. But then, after doing a little research and comparing my own experiences in using technology in education, it started to make a lot of sense. I went to school for education, and during one semester you have to do student teaching. Depending on your where you live, you have some choice as to where you can do your student teaching. This is still a class that is hosted by the university though. We used an online discussion form to keep everyone updated on how we were doing and to discuss and reflect on experiences. From what I understand, online philosophy degrees utilize similar technologies. Most people would agree that if you major in philosophy, you should participate in many debates. After all, debating and arguing your point is a major pillar in philosophy. Therefore, when obtaining online philosophy degrees, people should participate in online debates. Online philosophy degrees are a great thing to obtain if you are interested in pre-law, or a whole host of other careers.
